Winds of Change

"Uhhhhh Weeeekkkk~!". Help me I'm in pain. I can't sleep, Mom, Dad, Helppp! I've never experienced anything so painful in my life. Don't be too alarmed though, I'm just a few days old and yet to experience life as it is. Probably every pain from now could be the most painful.

Mom and ad didn't know anything about colic. Unfortunately for them it was again my duty to let the them know what colic is all about. They had never heard me cried that loud before. Panicked they did. I believe there must have been a few disgruntled neighbours who unwillingly shared the same fate as my Mom. she didn't get a wink of sleep. Poor Mom, she had to carry me around the house  in her valiant attempts to sooth. Dad was sick with a bacterial infection, so he was of no use. I saw him sleeping a couple of times that night. Did my best to wake him up for the sake of Mom, but he didn't budge a inch. He must have been really sick. I couldn't imagine what Mom had to go through that night. But luckily we both survived. :)

Home Sweet Home

It's Wednesday, and the doctor said I was all cleared of Jaundice. At last I'm released from the hospital. It was horrible, my beautiful and loving mom, brave as she was in giving birth to me, was sad to tears when she had to go leave the hospital without me the other day. But all that's forgotten now, its time for me to have a look at what my parents call home.

When I first entered the door, I was pleasantly surprised. Greeted by beautifully furnished laminate flooring, a 32 inch flat screen tv and a comfortable sofa set; I thought I was in heaven. But then again, what greated me immediately was a small playpen as soon as they stepped into the house. I had to lay down in my kiddy jail cell, with no one to talk to. What right did they have in confining me into such a small space?

My parents thought they could ease my jail sentence by adding some music in my playpen. Yes, it was more then adequately "pimped" but then again I wanted to see the world then being locked up in a cell. In addition, the playpen did not have proper ventilation. With the sides all covered up, Dad tried putting a fan nearby, but it just wasn't airy enough. It's either too hot or too cold. Well, complained I did. Dad was a little lost as he didn't know what to do. Apparently new parents are scared to hell when they get a newborn decides break the peace and tranquility with a deafening cry. Kids do try that at home. It's kind of fun from time to time. Trust me.

In the end they put me into, what I now consider now as my favourite recliner. I think its the best thing that mom and dad had bought for me. With it I could watch tv, look at both my parents or grandparents and see what they are up to. It may not be that much. But hey, for my age its as good as having a "la-z-boy" and watching your favourite movie.

Great thing about being the new family celebrity is that people come from far and wide just to see me and to give me presents. The best thing about it was everything was all about me.

Tips for new parents:
1) Crib - More ventilation. Playpen tend to have it's sides covered.

Friends And Family

Am I awake now? Crap, the lights too bright. Wait.... Noooooooo, I do have crap in my nappies. This is bad, Nurseeee..Nursssseeeeeeeee. Get me the nurse, Quick~!

Oh well, that's life in the hospital if you want to know. That's all I hear, when I'm awake, asleep or dreaming, It's nurse I'm hungry; Nurse I want to go home; Nurse I want my mummy; Nurse I've just crapped in my nappies. Wait, that's me. Oh well, if you can't beat them join em.

I met Mom and Dad again. Both of them were excited to see me. I was excited too and I tried to explain to them about getting an upgrade to class A ward. They just smiled and look at me. When you see your parents look at you like that for the first time, everything else just fade away. It seems to be just the three of us in that room. But that didn't last forever, soon people were coming in and out of the ward. I've never seen so many adults in my life. How come your not surprised?

Oh well. Many of my parent's friends and families came to visit me. I felt like i was at the red carpet. Crap~! I'm famous and I'm just a few hours old. Life is good. To think that those Holywood actors had to take up acting classes and actually work to be famous. Ha ha~! What a bunch of baloney.

Sigh~! I'm getting sleepy again. I'm blacking out..... Mommmmm.... Dadddddd.. Wait...Don't forget. I want Ward A....~! Nooooo... Wait..... Oh crap~! Nurseeeeeee.......ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hello World

4th July 2008

At last after nine months of swimming around my mother's tummy, I've finally ready to enter the real world. I don't really know why I'm so excited because of all the pollution, wars and diseases that's constantly plaguing this planet, I guess I have no choice.

Can't really blame my parents though, without them I would just be one of those sperms that just didn't make it. :). Dang ~! that's tough.

Mark this day~!. On the 4th of September @ 1840 hr. It was Independence day, but sad to say I only support the red and white and Not the blue. Yes, I'm Singaporean by birth. The doctor was surprised to see me weigh at 3.64 kg and 50 cm tall. Not bad by asian standards huh~! I was too preoccupied to do any exuberant celebration or ask my mom why my dad wasn't in the operation theater. I was not about to break any standard protocol or get a resounding whack in the backside. So I just did what all babies do; I screamed my lungs out.

With that out of the way. I was wheeled back to the nursery for observation and a quick clean. Luckily for me I managed to get a quick peek at my dad along the way up. What a handsome bloke, I thought to myself. Thank god for giving my such wonderful genes. I not being ungrateful or anything, it's just that my mum was in a mess trying to give birth to me. But by jolly, my dad look fantastic~!

Well that's about all I could remember before finding myself in deep slumber. Thanks Mom and Dad for making all this possible. Love you guys... Hope you enjoy your sleepless nights; now that I'm around. :)
