Swimming with my Buddy

7th December 2008

Today I was very excited as I am going swimming with my buddy Farhi! Mummy and daddy bathed and dressed me up very early this morning (around 8am). We then waited for Auntie Faszrin in our car so we could go together. Uncle Fhiruz wanted to try daddy's driving route to Harbourfront, thus, he followed us while daddy lead the way.

Here are our pics during our swimming session together! And of course, not forgetting the wonderful massage. :)

Before and after!

Look at Farhi's face! hehehe...

Potluck

6th December 2008

Today, mummy and daddy were expecting visitors. I have no idea who they were expecting, but mummy sure cooked a lot today (not that I am able to eat the food, purposely laid on the table for me to drool over). While waiting for the visitors to come, I took time to doze off for a little while.
As it reaches 3.30pm, people started coming in. It was then I realised that they were mummy's good friends. They have been good friends since 1997, for a good 12 years now. They were the ones who visited me when I was born in KKH (refer to the very 1st post in this blog).

I was very excited, as they brought along their children too. Yay! I have friends! There's Sheikh Muhammad Farhi, Auntie Faszrin & Uncle Fhiruz's son, who's only a month younger than me (we shall grow together to be good friends like mummy and Auntie Faszrin okay!) and there's big sister Sha'ista Umairah, Auntie Fauziah and Uncle Sheerhan's daughter who always seems busy, performing her dissapearing act all the time.

Auntie Faszrin and Auntie Fauziah also brought their own share of food. Now our table is full of food (that I can't eat :( )

Anyway, it was fun as Farhi kept trying all the items that mummy and daddy bought for me. That's the Bumbo, high chair and the rocking chair. Farhi seems to have so much fun at the Bumbo but he seems uptight on the rocking chair though. And like me, he slept so soundly on my high chair. I am gracious enough to let him sleep there while I slept on the mattress mummy bought for me. Aren't I a nice big brother? :)

Kakak Umairah however is very busy performing some sort of stunts, trying to help my mummy sweep the floor and doing all sorts of hilarious things. Such as these (being spiderman? pushing Farhi around like a pram? She is so funny) :

I wish I can walk so I can follow in her footsteps. She can go anywhere and do whatever she wants! I simply can't wait for that day to come. Mummy and daddy will surely tire themselves out chasing after me..hehe.

After all their stomachs are filled, mummy's friends slowly made their exit. I get to try out Auntie Faszrin's new ride! And tomorow, I will be going for swimming with Farhi! Yay!

New Ride!

26th November 2008

My daddy bought a new car! That is the extent of how excited I am (hehe). It is a KIA Picanto and it looks so cute (but of course, I AM the cuter one). It's no wonder why my parents have been sitting around, holding up their calculators and crunching numbers for the past few days. They have been contemplating whether or not to purchase a car and I am glad they did!

Our first ride was to Parkway Parade. As daddy can't be bothered to tear out plenty of parking coupons, we spent the whole night window shopping till about 9.30pm. Apparently, 10pm is the start of night parking, where my daddy only had to tear out 1 coupon for the entire night. Ah, so smart!

I overheard that my Uncle Sam is giving me a car seat. Wow! My very own seat! I can't wait!

ps. Above is an updated pic of me having a snack and relaxing in my own car seat, or I rather say, my armchair :)

My 1st experience @ Hwa Xia

27th October 2008

Every Sunday, my mummy and daddy would bring me to tok and nenek's place at Commonwealth. Today is no exception. However, instead of going straight to their place as usual, my parents brought me to Harbourfront first. I was puzzled, and wondered if we are meeting my tok and nenek there.

When we reached there, we met with my tok, nenek, Abang Hakeem, Abang Haneef and my auntie. My parents then brought me to a small shop at level 3. The weird thing about this shop is, they have bathtubs in it! Wow! I thought, why do they have so many bath tubs inside their shop? Little did I know that my questions were soon be answered.

I was quickly brought to the changing area. Thinking that my mummy wanted to change my diapers, I just cooperated happily. But this time was different, not only my diaper was removed, my entire clothes was removed and there I was, lying stark naked! I was so embarrassed as this is the 1st time that strangers see me in this manner!

It didn't end there. My daddy passed me to the auntie who quickly put a bouy around my neck. What is happening? Not wanting to appear panicky, I just kept my cool and watched the auntie vigilantly. On the other hand, my mummy and daddy just kept reassuring me that everything is going to be alright. I guess, they were afraid I might make a scene. :P

The auntie slowly placed me into one of the bath tubs. I froze. Luckily, the water was not as cold as I thought. It was pretty warm and when I was fully submerged in the water, it felt good. However, I wasn't sure of what to do next. I stared at the auntie and my parents blankly. Slowly, I tried to move my legs and do a quick kicking motion.

Hey! This is pretty fun! So there I was, enjoying myself kicking away in the tub full of water. They even have rubber duckies for my entertainment! I felt like a superstar when everyone started frolicking in front of me, watching me in action. My tok and nenek seems to enjoy watching me too, especially my auntie who kept snapping her camera at me. Apparently, I was the only "swimmer" there! Boy, do I have a great time!

At the end of the session, another auntie emerged to remove my bouy and placed me on top of the changing mat. It's time for my massage session! I felt like I am in the spa, being massaged and treated like a king. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

But boy, am I very thirsty after the whole session!

Turned Over!

22nd October 2008

I have a piece of good news to share. Today, as I was lying down, lazing as usual on my comfortable mattress mummy bought specially for me, I had a desire to do something more. I realised that I spent most of my time lying down on my back, either playing with my toys, or staring in blank space. Occasionally, to kill this boredom of mine, I would try to communicate with my mummy and daddy to ask them to play with me.

My mummy as usual would always greet me with a huge smile on her face and her constant change of facial expressions and laughter amuses me. I would reciprocate with lots of laughter (depending on my mood) or a simple wide smile which my parents simply love to see.

Today, I am determined to try something new. As I lay down the mattress, I mustered up enough courage and willpower to turnover. I tried shifting my body to my left side, lifting my right leg over. Voila! I managed to turn myself over! Yes I know it's not a big deal for you guys out there but it was for me!

Seeing that my mummy and daddy was thrilled at my achievement makes me feel so proud of myself. I feel that I can do anything now! Next step, crawling time!
