My 1st Overseas Trip

27th - 29th November 2008

Today is the second day I ride in daddy's car. But this time, daddy and mummy brought a huge luggage bag along. On top of that, we even woke up very early. Daddy and mummy was even busy packing tons of items inside the luggage bag. I wondered where were we going.

We met up with tok and nenek at the Commonwealth's Macdonalds to park daddy's car there. It was a known fact that you can park there for free, hence, my daddy is obviously happy to find a spot there. We then took a ride with tok and nenek in their car and off we went to Harbourfront.

Upon reaching Harbourfront, I noticed that all of us had to present our passports to the gatekeepers (I think that's what they're called) and waited for the ferry to arrive.

The moment I stepped into the ferry, I was instantly swayed to sleep. Boy, the move the ferry made surely make me feel very sleepy, I feel as if I am flying!

When I woke up, we already reached our destination, Batam! I was wondering, what is so good about this place that my parents and grandparents wanted to spend so much time here. Well, I can't be too quick to judge so I just observed and tagged along.

After checking into the hotel, we rest for a while before daddy and mummy started to dress me up. Normally, they would dress me in long sleeved clothes and nice pants or jeans. But this time, they dressed me into something very different. Nice, but different.

I just followed to where my parents were going, and you can imagine how delighted I was to find out that they have sent me for swimming! I was so thrilled! Daddy and mummy bought me a huge bouy with a mushroom mounted on top and a snail around me. Unfortunately, mummy was unable to join. But I has a blast with daddy! The water is warm and it kept giving me a very nice massaging effect!

I had fun splashing and kicking in the water with daddy while mummy can't seem to stop snapping the camera to take shots of me and daddy. Tok and nenek were also there to give me moral support. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole session.

After swimming, daddy and mummy cleaned me up and dressed me into my normal clothes. It's shopping time! My mummy has the whole list in her mind so up and about she went to find the list of things she wanted to buy. Daddy and mummy bought me tons of stuffs! I now have plenty of t-shirts, pants, books and cd!

I love Batam!

Look at all the books! And my new range of clothes! Wee!

Circumsicion

One day last month, my parents woke up bright and early to bring me out. It's not surprising because my parents seem to love to bring me out very early in the morning, especially my daddy. I was looking forward to window shop in some spanking new shopping malls, hoping my parents will buy me new clothes and toys. However, this day proved to be very different.

We took the MRT and alighted at Kembangan station instead. I was thinking to myself, "Where's the shopping mall? I don't see any! Where are they taking me to?!?!". We then entered this small pink-coloured building and stepped into a clinic. Hmm, I've never been here before. Why did'nt my daddy and mummy bring me to KKH or Tampines Polyclinic as usual? When I looked around, I realised this was the most beautiful clinic I've every been to! It felt like you are in someone else's house! Before I know the reason why we were there, I fell hungry and eventually, slept after having my fill.

Zzzzzz...wait! Why are they removing my pants? A change of diapers perhaps? Hey! What is the doctor doing with the syringe? NooOooOOo!!! I cried my lungs out so bad, my mum could'nt even bear to see what was happening to me inside. Luckily, I had my daddy for emotional support throughout the whole ordeal. The doctor then held a pair of scissors. Oh no! What is he going to do next! Fortunately, I somehow do not feel anything when he start snipping away with his scissors.
We didn't go anywhere after that, nor 7 days later. Apparently, I needed to undergo a healing process for the next 7 days. What I had went through is called a circumsicion, and it is compulsory for Muslim boys. Fortunately, I didn't feel any pain after that except for the time after I went home. Luckily, there's panadol on standby.
Boy, am I glad it was over and done with it!
